Ready to set up your Moca wallet and secure your keystore?
First, let's understand two key terms:
Multichain Wallet: This wallet lets you manage, send, receive, and swap cryptocurrencies across multiple blockchains using just one app.
Keystore: Encrypts and protects your seed words with a password, ensuring you have control.
When you create a multichain wallet in the Moca app, a keystore file is generated. This file gives you access to your wallet, and only you have custody of your keys to access it. This ensures its security for use across other platforms if needed.
1. Launch the Moca app and select "Create a New Wallet."
2. Enter a new password for this wallet.
3. Assign an alias to your new wallet.
4. Moca will generate a keystore for you, represented by a 24-word secret phrase.
5. Make sure to copy the 24-word phrase and store it securely.
6. Note: The JSON file is not downloaded automatically. Go to your created wallet and click "Download File." You're all set! <3
If you ever lose your Keystore file, you can retrieve it by accessing your wallet using your 24-word seed phrase and password. Then, go to your wallet and click "Download File" to get it again.
